Suffolk County police First Precinct officers responded to 3 North Dr. in North Amityville Saturday night, after a 911 call of a man stabbing a woman. Upon arriving, officers found Virginia Vasquez, 32, and her boyfriend, and Stephen Guillaume, 35, dead in the doorway, police said.
Vasquez’s 14-year-old daughter was cut on the hand when she tried to help her mother, police said. She was taken to an area hospital and will undergo surgery.
The woman’s 4-year-old son was also home at the time, but was unharmed, police said.
Detectives found out Guillaume began stabbing Vasquez after she told him they would be breaking up, police said.
The investigation continued Sunday morning. Anyone with information was asked to call the Suffolk County police Homicide Squad, at (631) 852-6392.
