19-year-old kills self after being molested

Savita alias Komal, 19, on Saturday committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling fan. Reportedly, she took the extreme step after being molested by a youth. The girl rejected his proposal on several occasion. Basti Jodhewal police registered a case under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code for abetment to suicide against the youth, who has been identified as Bablu, 23. Inspector Gurpreet Singh said Savita was alone at home at the time of incident. Her family informed the police. The body has been sent to Civil Hospital for postmortem. SHO said the police is trying to arrest the accused.
