You Are Gifted: Prophesying
The school my youngest son attended had a program for “gifted and
talented” children. Are you gifted and talented? Most people never
qualify for a “gifted and talented” program or advanced placement
courses in school. You or people you know might be in that group. And
yet through your God-given faith you have been filled with the Holy
Spirit, and the Spirit has given you gifts.
The Bible says in Romans 12:6, “We have different gifts, according to
the grace given us. If someone’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in
proportion to his faith.” To prophesy means “to proclaim and explain”
God’s words. Are you good at that? Our world needs you, in whatever way
you can, to help people see their own sin-sickness and the mercy and
forgiveness of their Savior Jesus.
