Low Self Esteem

April 30, 2013  10:08am

Good Morning Loves,

Have you began to work on accomplishing your goal yet?  Stay focused, you have five more days to get it done.  Today I would like to discuss low self esteem.  For years I suffered from low self esteem.  I felt very unsure of myself and my abilities.  I didn't think I was attractive and I definitely didn't think I was intelligent.  I thought I was average and so I accomplished tasks at an average level.  I did just enough to get by, never seeking to do more than what was required.  It wasn't that I couldn't do it, it was simply that I didn't think I was worthy of any good thing.  If you suffer from low self esteem, you can overcome this.  Check out the steps below.

1. Love and respect your self.  Complement your self.  Wear clothes and makeup that complement your body type.
2. Stop negative thoughts and making negative comments about yourself.  Instead replace them with positive thoughts and comments.
3. If there are things about yourself that you don't like, stop complaining and change them.  ie. if you don't like your weight, join the gym, exercise regularly and eat healthy.
4. Don't compare yourself to others.  Each of us was created for a special purpose and with special abilities.  Cultivate your strengths and improve your weaknesses.
5. Keep a journal.  Write down something good about yourself everyday.  Whenever you feel down, write it in your journal and then write encouraging statements.  ie.I am a winner, I was born to do great things, I am beautiful, I am worthy, I deserve good things.

Happiness is an attitudeEvery moment you decide to be happy or sad, choose to be happy in spite of your circumstances.

Don't suffer in silence

April 29, 2013

Good Morning Loves,

I pray everyone is doing well today.  Have you started working on your goal yet?  Stay focused!!!!  Keep grinding until it's accomplished.  Today I want to speak directly to those who are depressed.  You don't have to suffer in silence.  I've been there and I know what it's like to feel totally hopeless.

Some symptoms of depression:
  • Difficulty concentrating, remembering details, and making decisions
  • Fatigue and decreased energy
  • Feelings of guilt, worthlessness, and/or helplessness
  • Feelings of hopelessness and/or pessimism
  • Insomnia, early-morning wakefulness, or excessive sleeping
  • Irritability, restlessness
  • Loss of interest in activities or hobbies once pleasurable, including sex
  • Overeating or appetite loss
  • Persistent aches or pains, headaches, cramps, or digestive problems that do not ease even with treatment
  • Persistent sad, anxious, or "empty" feelings
  • Thoughts of suicide, suicide attempts
If you have or are experiencing any of these symptoms over a period of time, you should contact a doctor. For years I suffered with depression before receiving any treatment.  Seeking help is not a sign of weakness but a sign of strength.  You can and you will get through this but you may need some assistance.

Write down your goals

April 28, 2013

Good Morning Loves,

This entire week I would like you to work on accomplishing your short term goals.  Take time to make a list of several short term goals that you can accomplish.  Plan on completing one of those goals by Saturday May 4, 2013. For example, it may be clean out your closets, register for school, clean out your trunk, wash and fold clothes.  I am going to do this as well. I will be sharing with you throughout the week my progress.  I am going to challenge myself to complete two goals this week.  I'll never ask you to complete a task that I wouldn't do as well.  My two goals for this week are: 1. Read the bible each day for ten minutes. 2. Wash all the windows in my home.  You are phenomenal and you can do this.  Like Nike, just do it.

LIve Life to the Fullest

April 26, 1973

Good Morning Loves,

I pray for you each and everyday that God would be with you, bless you and give you peace.  Today I want you to live life to the fullest.  By this I mean give more, bless others more, put others before yourself.  Each and everyday look for someone to help.  When you live this way, God will open up the floodgates and pour out blessings upon you.  Live life with such integrity that when you pass away at an old age, people will talk about how you blessed them years before.  Let your light so shine that darkness cannot stand to be in the same room with you.

Go after your dreams, stop wishing and go for it.  Research, research, research your dream.  Ask people who've already done it.  Ask the important questions like what did you do wrong?  You don't want to repeat mistakes others have already made.  Life is short, so you might as well make your dream come true.  This is my dream and I'm expanding it daily.  You can do whatever you set your heart and mind to do.  I encourage you today to Live Life To The Fullest!!!!

Do More Than What's Required

11:27 am

Good Morning Loves,

Today I want to encourage you to do more than what's required.  Everyone wants to be successful in life but not everyone is willing to do what's necessary to achieve greatness.  Are you one of those people who just does enough to get by???  I was for many years, What level of success do you want to obtain in your personal relationships, in your career, in your business?  If you are not happy with any area in your life, it is solely your responsibility to make those changes.  Stop complaining that your life isn't how you want it, start thinking about what changes you can make and what it will take to accomplish this.  Push yourself to do more.

Today you must do more than is required of you. Never think that you have done enough or that your job is finished. There’s always something that can be done, something that can help to ensure victory. You can’t let others be responsible for getting you started. You must be a self-starter. You must possess that spark of individual initiative that sets the leader apart from the led. Self-motivation is the key to being one step ahead of everyone else and standing head and shoulders above the crowd. Once you get going don’t stop. Always be on the lookout for the chance to do something better. Never stop trying. Fill yourself with the warrior spirit – and send that warrior into action.

- Jonny Wilkinson (my world autobiography)

The Power of Positive Thinking

9:10am

Good Morning Loves,

Today is a brand new day that we've never seen before.  I am so grateful to be alive!!!!  Thank you for reading this blog and supportive this movement.  Today I would like to speak to you about the power of positive thinking.  We don't always have control over our external circumstance but we can control  our thoughts.  Positive thinking produces positive attitudes.  Today I want you to think big and visualize yourself successful in every situation.  Begin by immediately exchanging your negative thought with positive one.  This will take a lot of practice but you can do it.  For example replace negative thoughts about the bad economy with positive thoughts like I will obtain a great paying job. Visualize yourself working at a great company, visualize all the intimate details.  How your office looks, the position you've acquired, the level of success you would like to achieve while working there.

# Work on your character

Work on your character

10:31 am

Good Morning Loves,

Welcome to MilagroMinds Blog.  Thank you for tuning in each and every day.  Today I would like you all to focus on your character.  Honesty, Commitment, Confidence, Sense of Humor, Good Communication and maintaining a positive attitude are some examples that you should be practicing daily.  None of us are perfect and we all need to improve in these areas.  Today just focus on Honesty and Commitment.

Honesty:Be honest with yourself and others. Be honest about your shortcomings and failures.  Be honest about the things the areas that you need to improve on in your life.  Being honest helps you to be a better person.  It helps to create and maintain strong relationships with co-workers, family and friends.  Being honest establishes you as being a person of valor and a person who keeps their word.  When your honest you don't have to worry about remembering what you previously said.  Honesty allows you to express how you feel or what you believe.  You will certainly avoid any hurt or punishment that comes with lying or being deceitful.

Commitment:What are you committed to? Perhaps your committed to family, career, relationship with God, or a cause.  How do you show your commitment? Do you attend all of your child's PTA meetings?  Do you pray daily?  Do you get to work on time?  Do you give your best effort?  Are you consistent with what you do? If you've slacked off on your commitment, today rededicate yourself.  Take small steps and be consistent. Successful people are consistent.  You must strive to be consistent in every are of your life, in your career, family and friend relationships, and health.  These all require that you invest time, energy, money and effort.
What are you waiting for??????   Get started now.

 # Let's go team.

You can do it!!!

There's no place for Bullying

Forgiveness

Good Morning Loves,

I pray  that everyone is doing well today.  Today's topic is "Forgiveness".  It is important that you forgive
anyone who has hurt or mistreated you in the past.  You must also forgive yourself for any hurt you've caused others.  Matthew 6:14 & 15 says For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

When you refuse to forgive others it may cause you to lose valuable relationships or a sense of connectedness with others.  Holding on to anger, hatred or resentment causes stress, anxiety, and may lead to heart attacks or strokes. It also causes one to become bitter, keeps you tied to the past, and stunts your emotional growth.

Forgiveness allows you to release the hurt, have healthier relationships, less stress, anxiety and hostility.  Forgive and move forward!  Say out loud I forgive them and I forgive myself.
Have a Super Saturday!
